Haunted Houses
In my novel, Shadows of the Soul, there is a little ghost girl named Clara who lives in my hero's home. Since this is a Halloween blog, I thought I'd talk about the time I lived in a haunted house. Let me start my story by saying I never actually saw a ghost. I 'sensed' her. She was a young woman, dressed in a white gown and stood near the window. I never told anyone about this. Then, one day, my grandmother--who was a gifted psychic and lived next door--asked me about the young woman dressed in a white gown who stood in the window. My grandmother saw what I sensed. That was all the confirmation I needed. And yes, I did write the first draft of Shadows of the Soul in that 'haunted' house. Though my little ghost girl Clara was nothing like the woman at the window.

Awesome story---both real and your novel. I'm more of a 'senser,' too, and kind of thought that everyone who claims to actually see one (like on t.v.) is faking it. But I'm not going to doubt your grandmother! Could be that if I actually saw a human like figure that was actually a ghost, I'd either have a heart attack or shoot it. So maybe the mind lets us 'see' the other realm in different ways.

I dreamed of my grandfather's death, my dad's death and my husband's death. All years before it actually happened. Perhaps someone somewhere was trying to help me.

I spent the night at a haunted plantation. Didn't sense anything or see anything. But the next day while I was taking photos of the place I caught someone looking back. Kind of cool. Great blog, great trailer. Mary

Thanks to everyone for commenting on the blog. I agree we all have some form of psychic 'sense'. My grandmother had many experiences with the 'other side' but the ghost in the window has stuck with me to this day.

i can say i been at least 3 or 4home here in mo that i live in some were great fun i had one were a young women and older lady and baby would argue who got to rck the baby this was done when i try to sleep and then i had to tell them to cool it and then one house had the owner mom in it and she walk over my dog and tellhim to be quite and then i been elvis place and then on the ground of the loretta lynn place
