31 Days of Halloween - Amber Kallyn - Win a $5 Amazon Gift Card

Halloween.
Ghouls and ghosties.
Fairies and godmothers.
Princesses, Vampires, or devils.
I’ll admit, Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.
I mean, what other day of the year can grown people dress up and become whoever, or whatever, they want?
And as many different ways you can celebrate Halloween, there are separate roots in the beginnings of the day. Whether you dress up to celebrate Samhain, and the harvest, or to hide out with the monsters and demons crossing the line between living and dead, it’s a holiday most people can celebrate in some way.
Halloween is also the time of year when the weather cools, the kids get geared up for Christmas (I start getting lists, LOL), and I spend weeks figuring out my costume.

My Q4U: What’s your favorite part of Halloween?

Darkstorm Blurb:

After a millennia apart, can two vampires rekindle their love, or will the line between right and wrong keep them apart?

Ashlyn MacDougal is on the run from the demon that held her imprisoned for hundreds of years. With her is a secret which could destroy her soul. When she runs into her long lost love, Connor Gregory, life twists upside down.

Connor has spent the last thousand years as a Judge for the Magic Council, hunting down and destroying demons. Especially half-breeds, part demon, part vampire. When he finds out his lost love is not only dead, but protecting a half-breed, his confusion knows no bounds.

Yet, thrown together by circumstance, they must resolve the past. With the demon after them, Ashlyn and Connor come to find their love is still alive. Yet, the secrets she hides, and his duty to his job, might just keep them apart for another eternity.

Bloodstorm Blurb:

When duty forces a shaman to stop a vampire from her revenge, love doesn’t just burn... it bites.

For two hundred years, Niki DeVeraux has been tracking the monster who murdered her family and made her a vampire. She finally catches up to him only to face more than she bargained for in a too-sexy sheriff who makes her remember she’s still a woman. With duties as Keeper of the peace and Sheriff, Shane Spencer must protect humanity and stop the friction between the local Arcaine races before it turns into an all out blood war.

When wolves start turning up dead, the tension between the races grows and suspicion falls on Niki. Shane knows she’s not to blame, and it has nothing to do with the primal urges she stirs within him. Working together, they must stop the hostilities from going over the edge. Trouble is, the desires raging between them might prove more dangerous than the surrounding threats.

One of those rare breeds, Amber Kallyn is an Arizona native who can trace her family's history through six generations in the state. She lives with her husband, and their four very active children. Included in the menagerie are four cats (though there's always room for more), one snake, and two dogs. We won't count all the fish.

  3. My favorite thing about Halloween is the candy I eat all month! I buy it early, it's snack size so there is portion control and I eat one a day the whole month of October. Right now I'm having a Mounds bar.
The scary anthologies that come out are good too.
